National STAND Coalition
STAND was created at Georgetown in September 2004. Six months later, it became a national movement. There are currently 190 STAND chapters across the US and Canada. Students from nearly 200 schools have participated in STAND EVENTS events. STAND chapters are committed to raising awareness about, relief funds for, and taking political action on the genocide in Darfur, Sudan.
Students Against Genocide
A number of student groups from the Claremont Colleges in California
have been working to raise awareness and encourage a more effective
response to the genocide in Sudan. Students have brought speakers to
campus, organized film screenings, and traveled to Washington, D.C. to
express concern to politicians on behalf of students nationwide. Most
recently, they have launched the sale of "Stop Genocide in Sudan" t-shirts through their website. They've already raised more than $6,000 for Sudan-related charities through sales of these shirts on campus, and have made them available at cost so that other groups may do the same. The shirts are originally-designed, sweatshop-free, and have a minimum order of 12.
Genocide Intervention Fund
Swarthmore students created GIF, an organization which aims to increase public awareness about
genocide and support organizations, initiatives and government policies designed
to help prevent and stop genocide. Currently, GIF is focusing its fundraising on
supporting African Union peacekeepers in Darfur, Sudan.

This site, created by high school students, has an "Awareness & Action" Campaign designed to inform and inspire

KIDS CAN HELP!
This web site is set up for kids from age 13-16 who want to make a difference. It hopes to raise awareness among kids and adults about the ongoing problems in the Sudan.
Not Now Not Ever
Yeshiva University students, recognizing the ongoing genocide in Sudan, have banded together to create NOT NOW, NOT EVER, a not-for-profit, humanitarian organization working to alleviate the dire situation.
DARFUR ACTION GROUP
Harvard students started mobilizing to help stop the genocide in Sudan in October 2004. In April 2005, members of United Front For Divestment,
Senior Gift Plus, Darfur Action Group (graduate schools) and Darfur Action Group FAS (undergraduate college) merged their efforts to create
an all-encompassing superstructure for campus organizing around Darfur. The Harvard Darfur Action Group (HDAG) now has over 200 members.
We are committed to waging positive, constructive and efficient campaigns to help end the genocide in Sudan.
